Review of Captive Films, Season 2, By Jillian Dodd

Review of "Captive Films" (Season 2, Volumes 1-3)
By Jillian Dodd

Well, I received ARC's for these three books, in exchange for my honest review.  These were the first books that I have read by author Jillian Dodd, and I guess it was my own fault for not knowing her style prior to my investment in this story.  There were a lot of main characters and this story is told from all of their points of view. (which must be really hard to write, so awesome job there, Jillian!)  It was really confusing and difficult for me to follow in the beginning and I found myself doing some back-tracking to try to remember who was who, probably because I didn't read Season     1 ;-).  But, once I got in the groove and knew more of what was going on I really enjoyed it!  It was fun and entertaining!  When I got to the end I was so excited to see how it turned out.  You know, I had all three books, so I thought there would be some sort of a conclusion to it all.  Well, there wasn't, and I guess I will have to read the next 3 books to see what happens.  I was very disappointed and upset for about 10 minutes. Lol.  But, they were good books, and I am sure that I will read the next season as soon as it is available!  After all, I really want to know how it all turns out!

Review of "Packaged"
By Angela Graham and S.E. Hall

This was a quick, easy, and entertaining read!  I love Angela Graham and S.E. Hall together!  This story definitely had my attention... secret admirer's are always fun!  Though there were times where I felt like it was kind of creepy.  But, overall I enjoyed it!

Review of "Untouched" by Melody Grace

Review of "Untouched"
By Melody Grace

I liked this book!  This was the first book that I have read by author Melody Grace.  There were a lot of errors with the word spacing and that was a bit distracting, but I have to say that I had a hard time putting this one down.  This story was about a girl and a guy who both have family issues, and neither one of them really let anyone get too close.  Emerson was realizing that purely physical relationships were hollow and lonely.  Juliet didn't believe in fate or soul mates.  Then, they ran into each other and both of their lives were changed. I will definitely check out more from Melody Grace!  Untouched is not a stand-alone.

Review of "Obligation" by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Review of "Obligation"
By Aurora Rose Reynolds

Well then!  I wasn't sure about this one in the beginning... It started off really confusing for me.  But the further I got into it the more attached I became to the story line.  I ended up really liking this book.  Kai was a stranger to Myla.  She was unaware that he was watching over her to keep her safe,   until the day came that he rescued her.  They were in a situation where they had to be together to keep her out of harms way.  As they spent more and more time together they realized that they had an undeniable connection.  It was fun to watch their relationship transform into something real and touching.  This one will keep you on your toes!

Zac & Evie Drawn to Fight

Review of "Zac & Evie (Drawn to Fight)"
By Lilliana Anderson

This book had me hooked from the very first page!  I was so into it!  It has been a long time since I read The Drawn Series, so it took me a bit to remember all that happened with that story, but as this book played out I remembered more and more.  Even though it's a spin off of another book it can still be read as a stand alone.  I loved how Evie's character was so much like both of her parents (their story was told in Drawn and Drawn 2 Redemption).  She is strong-willed, and loves with all she's got, and she hasn't had it easy.  It was the perfect personality match up for Zac.  He needed someone to be strong for him and help him through all of the trials he was dealing with, and she needed to be loved for who she was and not her reputation.  They were a perfect fit!  I really just couldn't read this book fast enough!  It was full of pain, emotional and physical, and really demonstrated of the healing power of love!  Thanks Lilliana Anderson!  You never let me down!!!

Review of "The Redemption" (The Club Trilogy, Book 3) by Lauren Rowe

Review of "The Redemption" (The Club Trilogy, Book 3)
By Lauren Rowe

What an incredible journey! It's no surprise that I loved this last book in the trilogy.  Lauren took the story of Jonas and Sarah to a place I never would have expected.  In this final book, we are further enlightened with the history of the life altering experiences that Jonas and Sarah encountered as children and young adults;  predicaments that they were, in a sense, pushed into and therefore deemed themselves as unworthy of letting go and being loved.  It was wonderful to watch them transform into loving, understanding, acceptable, and empathetic heroes... Two people who's unintentional purpose was to save each other through unconditional love.  Not to mention, their chemistry and passion will leave everyone wanting more.  Also, it was nice to see the personalities of some of the other characters shine through.  I am so glad that I stumbled across this trilogy and new author, Lauren Rowe. I just Loved The Club trilogy as a whole , and the places it took my imagination!!

Review of "Kyland"

Review of "Kyland"
By Mia Sheridan

I don't even know where to start...  I am not exactly sure what it is about Mia's Sheridan's books, but every one I read gives me this certain feeling right from the start.  I feel so connected to the characters and the pictures she paints with her words are incredible.  It's like I know these people and I am empathetic for them and the struggles they endure. This was another amazing book from Mia! I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to read this book and share my opinion of it.  The characters were so real and humble.  Kyland and Tenleigh had nothing to offer one another, yet they were completely drawn to each other.  This was the story of a little old mining town and two young adults who resided there.  Two people who were dealt poor cards in life and had done the best they could to overcome the loss and poverty that they had been subjected to. Both suffering separately with their own haunting pasts and possibly just as grim futures.  It was a touching, and at times somewhat devastating tale of true selflessness.  This story will help you to remember that possessions do not define you, and that the relationships that you develop help shape you into the person you are meant to be.  "Kyland" was a great reminder of the fact that sometimes Love IS enough!

Review of "The Reclamation (The Club Trilogy Book 2)" By Lauren Rowe

Review of "The Reclamation (The Club Trilogy Book 2)"
By Lauren Rowe

Wow!  Way to go Lauren!  I am LOVING this story!  Jonas and Sarah are the perfect match.  Jonas Faraday is so sweet, and caring, and wonderful, yet he has no idea how incredible he is.  Sarah Cruz is smart, loving and amazingly understanding.  Together they are helping each other discover who they really are.   They are teaching each other that despite how screwed up they may be from previous traumatic life experiences, they are able to trust one another, and to love and be loved.  Book 2 is another cliff hanger and it is extremely important to have book 3, The Redemption, readily available. Author Lauren Rowe told me herself that Book 3 is her favorite, and I cannot wait to see how Jonas and Sarah's story concludes!  I give this one 5 HOWLING LOVE MONKEY STARS!  ;-) (Just Read The Club People!)

Reviews are coming!

Sorry for not posting any reviews for the last month or so.  I just haven't had much time to read lately with the holidays and a couple of recent deaths in my family.  But, between now and February I am supposed to read 5 ARC's in exchange for reviews.  So, wish me luck in having the time to read all those books, and I will post the reviews as I go!  Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Angie

Review of "The Club" (The Club Trilogy 1) By Lauren Rowe

Review of "The Club" (The Club Trilogy 1)
By Lauren Rowe

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.  This one was a little hard core and in the beginning I was wondering if I was going to get into it.  But, sure enough, it sucked me in, just like that!  Book 1 is a cliffhanger and I am excited to see what "The Reclamation" (The Club # 2has in store!  I believe this is the first book that author Lauren Rowe has published, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise for me!

Review of "Stinger" By Mia Sheridan

Review of "Stinger"
by Mia Sheridan

WOW!!  I think it's safe to say that Mia Sheridan is absolutely amazing!  Stinger is another favorite for me!  The electricity between Grace and Carson was undeniable from the start.  I loved how one unexpected encounter, one magical, unlikely weekend with each other changed their lives forever.  It took me a few days to read this book, but when I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it.  I cannot wait to read more from Mia!  Her books take my imagination to a place where I feel like I am right there with the characters, connected and sharing their joys and pains.  Thank you Mia for doing it again!

OVERVIEW

Grace Hamilton was the girl with a plan.  She knew exactly where her life was going and prided herself on always achieving her goals.  It was who she was and how she lived her life.  She never stepped outside the lines, and never considered what she might desire and whom she was actually trying so hard to please.  Until him...

Carson Stinger was a man who didn't play by any rules except his own.  Working in the adult entertainment industry, he didn't care what others thought, and took each day as it came, no direction, no plan.  He knew what women wanted from him and believed it was all he had to offer.  Until her...

When circumstances forced them to spend several hours together, they walked away changed.  But for two people who never should have meshed, overcoming the reality of their vastly different lives wasn't possible.  At least not yet.

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL.
